Founded 1974
Menno Loos was founded in 1974 but just started painting in 2022. Prior to that? I did everything besides drawing or painting as you can see on my personal website LoosBD.com. You can also read about it in my book “Dat bepaal je zelf“. In this book I take you along ten years of fighting for the need to change the organ donation law in the Netherlands. That law has been revised for the better and it works 🙂 The perspective for people waiting for a life-saving organ is improving step by step.

Every art project has a beginning and an end. That’s how I started with one month of painting . In 2023 I will take my studio to an old prison, which will inspire me to create complete new things. But of course I will let the flow take me to where ever it may lead. All my creations will have something in common. They are present there and now but someday they will be gone.
Just like us humans, usually just busy doing something and sometimes looking for more. But in the end: it is what it is #IpassBy

Penseel-streek
In the Penseelstreek, the quarterly magazine for a part of Arnhem, a city in the Netherlands, there was an article about the IpassBy challenge. “Elke dag een schilderij, een maand lang.” A painting every day for a month.
